Donut Worry We Got This


Hello everyone! This week it's Robert beaming down our latest work on Space for Sweets! We have done some fun things in the last week we hope satisfies your sweet tooth.

So first things first. Larry's goal for this week was to get one of our main game mechanics that will help with dealing with avoiding enemies. The throwing mechanic! Around the level there will be cops you will need to sneak past but they seem to be really protective of their spots. So introducing the ability to throw things as distractions! Larry did a great job making it so that you can see the trajectory of where your object will land after being thrown as well as making it so that the cop will investigate the strange noise giving you an opportunity to progress.

Angels goal this work was to work on one of our secondary enemies which will be the primary obstacle in the park area. The dogs! These little guys will be very territorial and not a fan of you in general. The path to one of your collectible sweets will be guarded by dogs so it was important to make sure they can't leave their zones and follow you for too long. Look forward to seeing these furballs in your parks soon


Okay time for artists starting with me! My goal this week was to make building models and things to litter the environment that would fit the cityscape and the ps2 visuals. It was a challenge finding a balance between simple models but also complex enough to be worthy of our game b but I think there's a good mix in there for our next artist to work with.

Now Elizabeth had a busy week reworking the levels map into something much larger as well as texturing buildings so that our alien has an actual city to run around. Most of the textures will be redone next week however I do want to appreciate what has been accomplished in a week. I can't wait for you to run around the level she made and explore!


Now last but not least is our animator Jay! His goal this week was to make some basic animations for the main character. Now he specifically wanted me to let you all know that these are works in progress and his main goal until the project is finished is to get all of these polished so look forward to each weeks progress!
