Chocolate Gold!

Hey, y'all! Jay here with another sweet update! This week we were continuing with the polishing and quality of life updates to make sure this game plays as smooth as the cream in a cream-filled donut.

To start off, Robert added some checkpoint UFO's to let the player know where they can respawn if they get caught. It definitely feels reassuring to know where you'll pick back up in the event of getting busted! 

Robert also added some boxes in some of the alley ways to make sure the player knows which alleys they can and cannot go down.

On top of this, Robert created some sweet graphics to show the controls and each of our roles. You will be able to check them out when you get to demo our game next week!

On to the next! 

We have some great updates from Angel and Lawrence this week. They added an animation that plays whenever the text changes on screen. On top of this, theyadded a way for you to go back and forth between messages because, lets be honest, we have all missed some dialogue when we sneezed at some point in our gaming careers. It really helps to be able to go back! On top of that, they added an icon for coins so you will be able to see them on the minimap.

On to the third! Liz worked a lot on play testing and getting some external feedback. We want to make sure you will have the best experience when you play it so that you will be able to laugh and have fun just as much as we did while making it.  Another addition she added was the green cone for the check point UFOs! It definitely stands out so make sure you get that checkpoint.

As for the last, me! I extended the closing cutscene timing so the player can take in their victory. On top of that, I also made a new animation for Taffy to let the victory seem even sweeter. And just as all of us have, I helped with playtesting.
